Pierre is honored to be collaborating with legendary bassist Mike Watt and an incredible group of musicians on my latest project. Each song started as a drum beat by different drummers, then a bass line by Watt, and it grew from there. Here’s a preview of “Ashes and Dust” initiated by drummer Yuval Lion, and co-written by Pierre de Gaillande and Tony Scalzo from Fastball, and featuring Gerald Menke, Quentin Jennings, Vibeke Saugestad, Jill Paxton and Daria Grace. We are very excited about this new improvised instrumental project, Body Kite, a jam band for people who don’t like jam bands. We’re playing a show October 29 in Beacon at Dogwood Bar and we will be dressed like wizards. Gerald Menke - guitar, Pierre de Gaillande - bass, trumpet and taishogoto, Daniel Basiletti - Korg Wrangler and trumpet, and Chris Stromquist will be joining us on drums. We will be wearing wizard costumes, so let your freak flag fly.
