New Pierre Pressure Podcast episode 30 up now! A very special re-broadcast of Pierre's interview with Violent Femmes singer Gordon Gano and drummer Brian Viglione. Recorded in September of 2013 at East Village Radio.

Pierre is hard at work putting finishing touches on his collaboration with bassist Mike Watt. This ambitous project features an amazing array of musicians including Kenny Wollesen, Nels Cline, Tony Scalzo, Robert Walter, Georgia Hubley, Stephen Calhoun, Steve Ulrich, Dan Menke, Yuval Lion, Gerald Menke, Chris Stromquist, Dion Thurman, Quentin Jennings, and Izzy Rock among others. Every track starts with just drums, then bass is added by Watt, and anything goes from there. Look for a release this spring.

Pierre de Gaillande is extremely pleased to be collaborating with the legendary bassist and punk guru, Mike Watt, on an album of songs all generated by different drummers. This idea came  during Pierre's interview with Watt on Pierre Pressure. The concept is simple; every song starts with a drummer creating and recording a track, which is then sent to Watt to play bass on, then sent back to Pierre to layer on instruments and vocals. This album features and a mind-blowing array of musicians, who are busy touring and recording all over the world, so it is taking time, but we look forward to sharing it soon!

Body Kite Halloween show at Dogwood in Beacon
We are very excited about this new improvised instrumental project, Body Kite, a jam band for people who don’t like jam bands. We’re playing a show October 29 in Beacon at Dogwood Bar and we will be dressed like wizards. Gerald Menke - guitar, Pierre de Gaillande - bass, trumpet and taishogoto, Daniel Basiletti - Korg Wrangler and trumpet, and Chris Stromquist will be joining us on drums. We will be wearing wizard costumes, so let your freak flag fly.
